Project-related purchasing

The main task in purchasing is to procure items needed in the company in time and at optimal cost. The resulting challenges are diverse.

In project purchasing, the costs for purchased items, services and, if applicable, machines & machine consumption must be allocated to the project. It must be decided whether items are purchased in the context of the general procurement or exclusively for the project. In addition, purchase budgets are usually set for projects and must be taken into account.

Given the frequent delays in supply chains, the purchaser currently needs to be able to track very closely whether ordered items arrive on time.

Material procurement with SAP Business One

As an ERP system, SAP Business One optimally supports complete material procurement, including the management of multiple warehouses.

Project-related purchasing with MARIProject

MARIProject extends these functions with the assignment to the project. For example, you create a purchase process from your project to procure items, services or machines that are needed exclusively in your project. If you use items of general need in your project, you transfer them internally to the project with MARIProject. In both cases, the costs are automatically assigned to the project.

Project-related purchasing with warehouse management

MARIProject uses the warehouse management of SAP Business One. Therefore, you can store project items in SAP Business One warehouses.

Simpler processes and overview in purchasing

Document creation (request for quote, goods receipt, A/P invoice, etc.) is automated. Costs and revenues are posted in SAP Business One, planning is stored in MARIProject. Therefore, up-to-date data is always available for project analyses. This allows you to optimize your business processes, save time, and always maintain an overview.

Purchase status per item at a glance

In the balance display of your project, you track the current purchase status for each item. You can intervene if the demand situation changes.

Project-related purchasing with purchase budget

You can define purchase budgets in the system or name persons who are allowed to approve budgets up to a certain amount. If the purchase budget is exceeded, it must be approved, reallocated, or increased before the responsible employee can complete the purchase.
